Imagine only having one promo that WWE's boss actually enjoyed. This AEW man doesn't need to.

AEW's Paul Wight can only remember one promo he did that Vince McMahon actually liked.

The ex-Big Show told Freddie Prinze Jr's 'Wrestling With Freddie' podcast that the moment didn't even happen in front of WWE's cameras. Instead, it happened backstage during a promo class McMahon was conducting with several other members of the roster.

Wight, who was thinking on his feet and improvising, cut some lines about never letting him visit your house if he's been an enemy in the past. At one point, he described how he'd "go to your master bathroom and blow your bathroom up". Then, he turned to Vince and whispered, "I’m going to clog the toilet".

Vince got a kick out of that one.

Paul told Prinze Jr that "Vince loves that sh*t humour". That's why he went that route, but Wight was also proud of the narrative he created out of nothing - he wanted to tell the story of a monster who'd get close to you, then screw you over when your back was turned.

McMahon loved that part of the speech too. This was "good sh*t". Quite literally.
