Having spent a spell in hospital last week, AEW's Darby Allin has officially been pulled from this year's Continental Classic.

For those who may have missed it, this past week's Dynamite saw it noted how Darby had been in hospital due to an unspecified injury suffered in his opening Continental Classic match against Kevin Knight. And now, last night's Collision saw a video from the former two-time TNT Champion where he noted how he was "scared" in that Knight match - which the Jet got the somewhat surprise win - after he felt his "legs give out", leading to Allin being rushed to hospital.

The AEW medical team has since not cleared Darby for the Continental Classic, and he'll instead be replaced in the tournament by Jack Perry. Allin closed out that video by saying he doesn't know what's next for himself, though he did encourage Perry to "go on and win the whole f**king thing", even though the two have never seen eye-to-eye.

As mentioned, Darby Allin's opening Continental Classic match resulted in a loss to Kevin Knight, meaning Jack Perry picks things up in the Gold League with not just one match down, but with that match also being a loss. Perry now has matches lined up against Kazuchika Okada, 'Speedball' Mike Bailey, PAC, and Kyle Fletcher, as he looks to make it through to AEW Worlds End on 27 December, where the tournament's semi-finals and final will take place.
