The short answer is... yes, yes they did.

Battling it out for the sixth time since The Elite made their epic return to AEW programming at Full Gear 2022, the reigning AEW World Trios Tag Team Champions Death Triangle and Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks collided in an explosive Falls Count Anywhere match on last night's New Year's Smash edition of Dynamite.

After a typically inventive and pulsating contest that saw everything from Rey Fenix diving off a Dynamite tunnel to Matt Jackson Northern suplexing PAC down the ramp, the bout came to a thrilling conclusion.

With The BASTARD locking Matt in The Brutaliser in the middle of the squared-circle, The Young Buck simply refused to give in before The Cleaner moved into position to nail Fenix with a One Winged Angel off the stage.

Sure enough, that savage finisher through some tables below was enough to seal the deal for The Elite and book one last Best-of-Seven showdown for all the marbles on January 11.

Said match will see the two trios go to war in an Escalera De La Muerte ladder match inside of the Forum in Los Angeles. Whoever comes out of that can't-miss encounter on top will be declared the winner of both the acclaimed Best-of-Seven Series and the World Trios Champs.
