Edge: Ranking Every WWE WrestleMania Match Ranked Worst To Best
5. Edge VS Chris Jericho - World Title (WrestleMania 26)
WrestleMania 26 provided a sturdy draw in the form of a title match between Edge and Chris Jericho, and who could say fairer? The two were engaged in a long-running, and wholly serious feud, which made this match something fans could really get behind.
As Jericho and Edge were both masterclass at appeasing the crowd, there was not a lot that could have gone wrong with this one, and it didn't. It was solid personified, with some neat spots and immaculate pacing. They ran the gauntlet of grappling, technical wrestling, brawling, and high-flying. The live crowd grew ever more electrified as the match went on.
Of course, a little more intensity, and an extension of the timeframe would always have been welcome, but that doesn't detract from what we were actually given. Chris Jericho's retention of the World HeavyWeight title may have served as an anti-climax, but only momentarily. Edge's cross-table spear to Jericho into the barricade, after the match had finished, served as a neat measure of revenge.
By that point, all boxes were ticked.
