Every Former WWE Superstar And Their Grades Since Joining AEW
1. Chris Jericho
Grade: A+
Well, this was an easy grade.
The genius of Chris Jericho has been on full display ever since he arrived in AEW. He has undoubtedly played a critical part in bringing credibility to the new wrestling promotion; his inaugural AEW World Championship run was one of the best title runs in the industry in 2019, and, between promos and matches, Jericho has made AEW Dynamite must- watch TV.
Joining a roster that featured high- flying youngsters, and wrestlers who thrived on fast paced action, expectations for the 49- year- old were somewhat tempered. Then Jericho did what he does best.
Jericho, once again, reinvented himself with his Le Champion gimmick, he added a new finisher with The Judas Effect, elevated an entire faction- quite frankly in this one promo- and had great matches with AEW's superstars of the future, such as Darby Allin, Scorpio Sky, and Jungle Boy. The man formerly known as Y2J has used his reputation and position on the card to benefit every superstar he has crossed paths with.
Jericho has also delivered AEW with a spectacular episode of AEW Dynamite on his second Rock 'N' Wrestling Rager At Sea cruise. He also leaned into the champagne swilling ways of his Le Champion character to create the successful A Little Bit of the Bubbly sparkling wine.
Currently spending his AEW dynamite's providing incredibly entertaining commentary alongside Tony Schiavone, Fozzy's frontman may have solidified his future in the industry whenever he decides to hang up his boots. Chris Jericho can truly do it all.
