Every Major WWE Black Wednesday Release Ranked From Least To Most Successful
7. Serena Deeb
Look at this picture. A little over a year ago, this was the face of a woman who had been used as a Performance Center coach rather than an in-ring talent. Of all of WWE's mistakes as it pertains to women's wrestling, this is really up there.
In AEW, however, she's redeemed herself.
The once-Straight Edge Society member has had a number of entertaining outings. Her debut vs. Thunder Rosa from just before All Out is still regarded as one of the greatest Dynamite matches in history. Dethroning Rosa of the NWA World Women's Championship the following month was the icing on the cake for Serena.
In-ring, Deeb mixes together a blend of various wrestling styles. One minute, she'll be tying an opponent up in knots with her signature Serenity Lock, and the next she'll be knocking opponents off their feet with a single strike. She's clearly not the biggest woman on the payroll, but the power she puts into each strike is seriously vicious.
With Kamille set up as the next challenger for her NWA title, Serena is on track for another potential show-stealing contest. To reiterate, how WWE did nothing with her when she returned for the inaugural Mae Young Classic is mind-blowing.
