Every NJPW G1 Climax 28 Entrant Ranked From Least To Most Likely To Win

14. Michael Elgin

Besieged by grim personal allegations in December 2017, it looked like a contract-less Michael Elgin may have been on his way out of NJPW at the start of the year, but he has since returned to a prominent midcard role.

The slimmed-down powerhouse became NEVER Openweight Champion at Dominion 6.9, but lost the belt just eight days later (a new record). It's hard to tell what his future holds. He held the IWGP Intercontinental Title for three months in 2016, but has since fallen down the pecking order, and anything better than a 50:50 G1 run would be considered a success.
