Every WWE Cruiserweight Classic Wrestler - Where Are They Now?
14. Drew Gulak
Tournament result: Defeated in the second round by Zack Sabre Jr.
What was he doing at the time?
Catch-as-catch-can wrestling hadn't yet undergone its transformational period back to being deemed cool again by the time of the Cruiserweight Classic, meaning Drew Gulak was still thought of as one of the style's better practitioners. He was booked and busy because of it, typically dominating call sheets at the time for every major North American indie without ever becoming the breakout star.
What is he doing now?
Struggling to find bookings. In a previous life, Drew Gulak would have been in demand following his exit from WWE, but given that his release was preceded by myriad allegations of bullying and sexual misconduct, few promoters are keen to go anywhere near the former Cruiserweight Champion, even more so considering Gulak turned those accusations into a storyline in Beyond Wrestling.
His willing accomplice? Masha Slamovich.
Had this been on a grander stage than Beyond, it would have made a beeline for the Wrestling Observer's Most Disgusting Promotional Tactic award, not that Beyond's lower standing.
