Every WWE Extreme Rules Main Event Ranked Worst To Best
3. Samoa Joe Vs. Seth Rollins Vs. Roman Reigns Vs. Finn Bálor Vs. Bray Wyatt (2017)
The 2017 Extreme Rules main event consisted of a fatal five way, with the same number of explosive personalities. The mix of talent was eclectic and the pacing worked out to be damn near perfect.
The match was rife with chemistry. Its bulk consisted of an unlikely alliance between Bray Wyatt and Samoa Joe, who steamrolled the opposition whilst awaiting the right moment to screw each other. It was neat. At the same time, Finn Bálor, being the odd one out, ensured that he'd be more than just a sore thumb, and made his presence known in mighty fashion.
It eventually boiled down to a one on one bout between Reigns and Rollins. One can criticise and say that the countless interactions between these two had stagnated their dynamic, but that's irrelevant in the case of this match. They gave it everything they had.
In short, everyone had their time to shine, and for as long as it lasted, Samoa Joe's victory was a breath of fresh air. It was a rocking good show with a satisfactory resolution.
