4. Triple H Vs. Brock Lesnar (2013)

Despite taking each other to the tea party at WrestleMania, The Beast and The Game saw fit to add extra mileage to their feud. The steel cage setting was ideal given the brutal resumes of both competitors, and as soon as Triple H unleashed a sneak attack and socked it to both Lesnar and Heyman, you knew that the hat fit.

The sense of energy throughout this match is nothing short of potent. Lesnar brought out the best in The Game and the sequences progressed from technical to outright rough in consistent measures. Triple H was able to continuously exploit a weakness in Lesnar's knee which brought a dimension of vulnerability to Brock seldom seen in any of his matches since. No squashes here, just a pacy bout and some heavy hits. By the time the chairs and sledgehammers entered the fray, audiences felt well fed.

It might be true that Heyman's interference was uncharacteristic of Lesnar's in-ring dominance, but seeing as he received as good as he gave, it all added to the fun. The entire match was big, noisy and, yes, enjoyably extreme.
