Will 2016 lead the pack?

After an eight-year absence, No Mercy is back on the pay-per-view calendar with its 12th iteration since beginning way back in 1999.

Like any PPV continuity, No Mercy has been full of its ups and downs over the years, delivering pretty consistently in terms of exciting main events (a few exceptions aside), while the undercards have proven much more erratic and even pretty cringe-worthy sometimes.

Where will 2016's edition end up? Well, the current card is pretty uninspired (a major problem with brand-specific events), so don't be surprised if it slots in on the lower end of the line-up. Still, it's got zero chance of being as bad as our infamously terrible #11 pick, that's for sure.

Even so, opinion among fans is likely to vary wildly, and with that in mind, here is every WWE No Mercy PPV ranked from worst to best...

11. No Mercy 1999 (UK)

The Good: Shane O'Mac had a solid European Title (remember that?) defense against X-Pac and...that's pretty much it.

The Bad: Two matches that last less than two minutes combined (Tiger Ali Singh vs. Gillberg and Nicole Bass vs. Tori), several weirdly overlong, dull matches (Viscera & The Acolytes vs. The Brood, Steve Blackman vs. Droz), a disappointing Triple Threat WWF Title main event between Stone Cold, The Undertaker and Triple H, and...Kane vs Mideon. Also, no sign of The Rock.

Verdict: Your typical late 90s-early 2000s UK "PPV". Nothing of significance happens and you can tell the talent wanted to get home as quickly as possible. Pretty much terrible. 3/10
