69. Jessamyn Duke

Then: Both Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir were good friends with Ronda Rousey when they inked WWE deals in mid-2018. The pair immediately reported to the group's Performance Center for training, and hopes were high that they'd eventually take part in some multi-woman matches with Ronda against the likes of Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch etc.

On screen, Duke was put alongside another ex-MMA fighter: Shayna Baszler. They worked hard on NXT, but Baszler moved up to the main roster in 2020 and Jessamyn followed (for a brief spell) later that year. She was even part of Shane McMahon's ill-fated Raw Underground concept before being released in April 2021.

Now: Duke is an avid gamer and streamer who, at least according to Rousey, has made a tidy sum playing video games. Good on her for that, but WWE success was never coming - at least not to the level that Jessamyn might've hoped it would.

Those matches as part of an MMA 'Four Horsewomen' (Ronda, Baszler, Shafir and Duke) would never happen vs. Flair, Lynch, Sasha Banks and Bayley. All in all, the pro wrestling biz was a bit of a failed experiment for Jessamyn. She hasn't actually wrestled an official in-ring match since 2019.

That was on an NXT live event in December; Duke teamed with Shafir and Dakota Kai vs. Candice LeRae, Rhea Ripley and Mia Yim/Michin. The Raw Underground win over Avery Taylor doesn't qualify as an actual match, so it isn't in the record books.

Some probably wish Underground wasn't remembered at all!
