Every WWE Release Of 2021 - Where Are They Now? (Five Years Later)
22. Jeet Rama
Then: Believe it or not, Jeet Rama here spent a full 6 years in the WWE system before he was let go in November 2021. He signed on to train at the Performance Centre in 2015, but wouldn't actually work a match in front of company cameras until facing AJ Styles (of all people) at Superstar Spectacle on 26 January 2021.
From there, Jeet worked a few bouts for 205 Live and lost to future main roster star Solo Sikoa in just 90 seconds on the 2 November 2021 episode of NXT (2.0). That'd prove to be Rama's grand finale in WWE - he was let go just 48 hours later on 4 November.
Now: That match vs. Solo is actually Jeet's last recorded/official match inside a wrestling ring, but he isn't finished with the industry. Oh no, you best believe that Rama has some entrepreneurial spirit to brag about. He's the current COO of the new WXM promotion over in India.
The likes of former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal and one-time ICW owner Mark Dallas are also on-board. Other notable names involved include Dijak, Kalisto and even Axel Tischer (Alexander Wolfe).
When discussing what he hopes to achieve with this new project, Rama said: "Indian wrestlers have waited too long for a real opportunity, and WXM is giving them exactly that. We now have world-class training, a competitive platform, and a chance to prove ourselves on a global stage. This is just the beginning".
