7. Tegan Nox

Then: Various injuries made it impossible for Tegan Nox to build up any kind of momentum in WWE. She was popular as tag partners with then as a rival for Dakota Kai on NXT, but their success in developmental never translated to the main roster. Again, injuries played a cruel-but-crucial role in that for Nox.

She was cut on 18 November 2021.

Now: Tegan returned under Triple H's watchful eye on the 2 December 2022 episode of SmackDown. This was a second chance for her to make a first impression, so to speak, but things never progressed much following an early flurry with Liv Morgan.

By 2024, Nox had been relegated to dark matches before SmackDown and select house shows. That was all WWE could offer her, and it had to be nightmare stuff considering she was so eager to make some waves. Then, on 1 November, the call came in again - 3 years on from the last bit of bad news, Tegan was being released for a second time.

The Welsh worker went back to her bread and butter work on the independent circuit, but seemed to catch another big break when AEW brought her and her partner Miranda Alize in for some tag work in October 2025. Things didn't go well there.

The re-dubbed Nixon Newell and Alize hit the headlines for reportedly refusing to lose a match. They've refuted that, but things got messy and they haven't been back on All Elite screens. The backlash was severe on both. Many criticised them for having a bad attitude, which was one thing. The fact the couple received death threats is outrageous though.
