Raise your hand if you thought Chelsea Green was going to be a breakout star for WWE in 2023 after the way she returned at the Royal Rumble this January.

Sit down, you’re lying.

Green returned as little more than a comedy act, playing a “Karen” as WWE tapped into the zeitgeist of 2018. Chelsea has continuously appeared in backstage scenes with Adam Pearce, making demands of him and threatening to call his manager. It took a while to find her footing, but Green has turned the character into a winner through sheer force of will.

All this came after a tumultuous run with WWE that saw plans and pushes sidetracked before she was released in April 2021 before her January 2023 surprise return.

And now, Chelsea managed to finally capture her first WWE gold, the Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside fellow 2015 Tough Enough competitor Sonya Deville in July. Deville’s ACL injury threatened to derail that momentum, but Green proposed holding auditions for a new partner, leading to Piper Niven claiming the other tag title.

Just given their initial interactions, Niven and Green could very quickly become an entertaining staple on WWE programming. And we’ll give Chelsea the top spot on our list based on how quickly she’s become a focal point – even if it’s as comic relief – on Raw and SmackDown. And she’s a champion to boot. What more could you ask?
