EVERYTHING Vince McMahon Gave Up On In 2020 (So Far)

3. The Future Of WWE

Paul Heyman Vince McMahon
WWE

The purge of WWE continued on April 17th when NXT lost several on-air talents as well as a few who hadn't even had a chance to show their skills on the aired shows yet.

Deonna Purrazzo, Aleksandr Jaksic, Josiah Williams, MJ Jenkins, Alyssa Marino, (the wonderfully named) Mars Wang, Cezar Bononi, Taynara Conti, Dorian Mak, Kassius Ohno, Nick Ogarelli, former Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush, Faisal Kurdi, Hussain Aldagal, Mohamed Fahim, Marcos Gomes, Edgar Lopez, and Yifeng are all gone now too.

Rounding out this list is Tino Sabatelli, who was once the tag team partner of one of Vince's favourite burial machine: Riddick Moss.

All released NXT talent were provided with 90 days full pay and were free agents with immediate effect. Nowhere outside of WWE and AEW were putting on shows, but at least they weren't held under some draconian non-compete clause, so that's... something?

It's very hard not to see all of this as Vince flushing the future of the company away to save a few dollars in the present.

After hearing that you are what you eat, Mik took a good hard look at his diet and realised he might just be a szechuan spare rib alongside prawn fried rice.
