EVERYTHING Vince McMahon Gave Up On In 2020 (So Far)

8. Tag Teams

"I don't want the tag titles, I want actual solid proof that the tag team division as a whole will get TV time and respect and you'll invest promo time and segment time and character development into all these guys or otherwise it means nothing."

That was Daniel Wheeler (Dash Wilder/Cash Wheeler) in his first interview after he and his The Revival (now #FTR) finally secured their release from the company in April, and it's hard for even the staunchest defender of WWE to argue with him there.

Vince has always viewed the tag team division as an afterthought, and that's only gotten worse as time has rolled on. The only time he seems to pay it any attention is when he wants to pair up a couple of his guys because there's nowhere else on the card he can fit them.

This culminated in Vince's perfect tag-team title match at WrestleMania 36, where only one man from each team was allowed to compete. Now there are those who will say this was social distancing, but with three men in the ring at all times alongside a referee, it's much more likely that Vince finally gave up.
