Ex-Champion Scores HUGE Upset Win Over Randy Orton On WWE Raw

Riddle picked up a shock win over Randy Orton on Monday's edition of Raw.

The tripped out stoner character Riddle has been playing set up the bout by pitching a tag-team with Orton backstage earlier in the show. His "R-K-Bro" idea fell on deaf ears, p*ssed Randy off and led to a one-on-one showdown that most likely expected Orton to win.

Instead, Riddle scored the victory by reversing Orton's RKO attempt into a crucifix pin.

This is a step forwards for the former United States Champion. After dropping that title to Sheamus at WrestleMania 37, Riddle went on to take an extended (and one-sided) kicking from Bobby Lashley on the post-'Mania episode of Raw 24 hours later.

It remains to be seen if WWE will book a follow-up rematch for WrestleMania Backlash on 16 May; that's possible, because they may want to give Randy his win back or continue pushing Riddle as a 'surprise package' who evades the RKO.

One thing seems likely: "R-K-Bro" will not become a thing, and some thrown-together Orton and Riddle tag won't become Raw Tag-Team Champs. Or... will they?
