Fantasy Booking Triple H's FIRST WWE WrestleMania
8. Ronda Rousey Vs. Becky Lynch
This, again, is a safe prediction, but that's because Triple H is a risk-averse booker.
Consider his NXT run. Seminal, euphoric at its peak, it wasn't necessarily ambitious. He didn't attempt to pull off something like Gedo strapping up Kazuchika Okada a month after returning from excursion, or Tony Khan sidelining MJF amid an injury crisis or booking CM Punk as an old man slowly finding his form in competitive matches against indie standouts with minimal TV experience. Possibly because it was a company-wide mandate, he didn't trust his talent to cut unscripted promos even. Peak NXT was a polished, safe and carefully controlled brand but it was great because Triple H made you want to see the things you expected to see. That's what wrestling should be, ultimately.
Triple H, in contrast to Vince McMahon, was a fan-friendly promoter. Bayley, Sami Zayn, American Alpha: all were awarded a feel-good moment. Is that take out of date, though?
Because Triple h developed a bizarre and alienating obsession with all-heel matches by the end of his run.
Still, Becky Lynch returning as The Man to take on Ronda Rousey is the easiest route to fan engagement, and Trips bloody loves a fruit basket.
