Finn Balor Returning To WWE Action This Weekend?

NXT Champion hopes to be back on the road for this weekend's live events.

Finn Balor - the reigning NXT Champion and one of the top workers in the entire world - has spent most of February on the shelf thus far. According to the man himself, though, his injury is on the mend and he'll be back shortly. At February 5th's NXT house show in Nashville, Tennessee, Balor clearly suffered an ankle injury after nailing opponent Samoa Joe with the Coup de Grace. Balor was walking on his own - albeit with a limp - immediately following the match, but after the show, fans reported seeing him on crutches. He was reportedly loaded into a car with help, but days later, the news was good - Balor's injury was just a sprain. Today, the recuperating star released a video promoting the WrestleMania 32 Reading Challenge and updating fans on his health status. According to the video - which was filmed at WWE's Performance Center in Orlando - Balor's ankle is feeling "a lot better." The star still has his foot and ankle wrapped, but he mentioned that he's hoping to be back on the road this weekend. Whether that means the NXT Champion will be competing in matches remains to be seen, but Balor is clearly recovering at a good pace.
