Finn Balor Returning To WWE NXT Next Week

Balor will appear on NXT for the first time since TakeOver: Stand & Deliver.

Finn Balor's return has been confirmed for next week's episode of WWE NXT.

The two-time NXT Champion confirmed as much on social media yesterday, revealing he has been vacationing in Mexico since his last appearance three weeks ago:-

Balor hasn't been seen since dropping the NXT Championship to Karrion Kross on TakeOver: Stand & Deliver's second night during WrestleMania 37 week. His reign had lasted since September 2020, when he bested Adam Cole for the vacant title after Kross was forced to let go of it due to injury, but Karrion kept hold of his receipt and cashed it in at Stand & Deliver.

A 212-day run with the strap saw Finn make successful defences against Cole, Pete Dunne, and Kyle O'Reilly (twice). He had won the belt more than four years after capturing it for the first time, with his original reign stretching from July 2015 to April 2016.

Also confirmed for next week's episode of NXT is a Women's Tag Team Title match pitting champions Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon against Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell, as well as a Leon Ruff vs. Isaiah 'Swerve' Scott grudge match.
