If WWE Was Being Honest About WrestleMania 35

If WWE was being honest about WrestleMania, they’d spread the motherf*cker over two nights already, Christ almighty. The company could very easily promote two successive cards worthy of the name, and for evidence of that, look no further than the godd*mn WrestleMania 35 card, which could comfortably yield two shows. Easily.

This doesn’t just solve the ‘Mania problem in itself. By extending the show to two nights, WWE makes WrestleMania Weekend WrestleMania Weekend.

Vince McMahon was apoplectic about New Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring Of Honor running Madison Square Garden this year, and in years past, WWE has attempted to sabotage Indy promotions from running ‘Mania weekend. This solves that problem, too, by spiting the competition. This cuts them off at the knees, particularly if fans aren’t certain of which WWE stars are appearing on which night. Bundle ticket options could entice fans to attend both nights, and those fans are already in the region. WrestleMania is a week-long festival now—one only half-curated by WWE, which is strange, given the company’s unquenchable thirst for dominance.

We cannot control which marquee match we don’t care about. Our bodies will shut down regardless.

WWE can, however, control all of WrestleMania Weekend.
