Result: Sabin countered a Moose electric chair drop with a victory roll for the surprise win (12:00).
Rating: A lack of compelling story meant nothing for Moose and Chris Sabin, who produced a near banger in Nashville. The only downside to this was Sabin garnering the victory, considering this was about rebuilding Moose following his loss to Kenny Omega in June. It was a rollup win, and thus no real damage was done to 'The Wrestling God', but nonetheless, the wrong winner.
The match itself was a brilliant showcase of Moose's dominance, as he dominated the former World Champion for portions of the contest. His swinging Powerbomb, which sent Sabin shoulder-first into the guardrail, was a prime example of why Moose is performing at his peak.
Again, IMPACT went down the wrong avenue with the match's outcome, however, Sabin can now use this to elevate himself for one last marquee singles run in IMPACT before he calls it a day. He'll turn forty in February, yet, he wrestles as if he's in his early twenties, particularly if he's positioned against a big beefy boy like Moose, where he can create magic. He did good here. 6/10
