John Cena’s 10 Other Moves Of Doom

8. Hurricanrana

Cena had a fantastic 2015. After winning the US Title, he took the time and made an effort to become a fighting champion who didn’t coast on his reputation and issued open challenges every week on Monday Night RAW.

Undervalued talented mid-carders that hadn’t been spotlighted correctly came out to challenge John week after week. And even though John won nearly every time, he put his opponents over huge in these matches at the same time. He really highlighted his opponents, letting them execute their best on him to showcase to WWE’s biggest audience. Some say this was Cena’s best in-ring year ever.

We saw a completely new move set from the face of WWE when he feuded with stars like NXT Champ Kevin Owens. The hurricanrana (the name being taken from its innovator, Mexican luchador Huracán Ramírez) being one of them that left the crowd in awe of what Cena is capable of once he’s given a little in-ring freedom.

The hurricanrana is a double leg cradle headscissors takedown. The move isn’t easy to pull off: you need agility, speed and accuracy. Cena, albeit with some balancing issues on occasion, has actually pulled this move off regularly in the last decade, using it on CM Punk, Cesaro and Dolph Ziggler through a table.
