John Cena's Dad Says WWE Longevity Is DEAD

"It’s never gonna happen again!"

John Cena's dad doesn't think WWE will ever produce long-term stars like his son again.

Cena Sr told Wrestling Insiders that there will never be another "face of the company" to rival his boy, Steve Austin or The Rock. He also chucked Chris Jericho's name into the mix, citing the AEW star's longevity as a WWE stalwart.

Daddy dearest can't see any one wrestler standing out for longer than a few years, and he doesn't seem to think that workers like Roman Reigns (just to use one example) should be considered the "face of WWE". Those days, according to Cena Sr, are very much over.

It is true that WWE sell the brand itself more than individuals these days; house shows (remember them?) were largely sold on the excitement of seeing "WWE Live", not so much specific performers. Of course, there were exceptions when the likes of Cena or The Undertaker were advertised.

That's Cena Sr's point - he doesn't think any full-timer has that kind of drawing power these days, and he doesn't expect that to change any time soon.

Do you agree with what Cena's dad said? Or, do you think guys like Reigns could already be considered a "face" figure for WWE?
