Kenny Omega Teases Huge AEW Return
Omega teases in a response to a potential AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door opponent.
Kenny Omega has teased being back in professional wrestling for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, having done so during a Twitter exchange with potential opponent Will Ospreay.
Absent from AEW television since November 2021, Omega moved first, responding to Ospreay's claims that defeating Hiroshi Tanahashi for the IWGP United States Championship at Wrestling Dontaku 2022 this Sunday (1 May) would make him the "ultimate grand slam" champion:-
You’re making it way too obvious, but thanks, I guess. ?♂️ https://t.co/AG0EDrMLwT

From this, Will asked Kenny if he was going to be ready in time for Forbidden Door (which sees NJPW and AEW stars collide on Sunday 26 June):-
You gonna be alright for June ? https://t.co/EOGttJfJVA

Omega had a busy one on social media on Tuesday. Earlier in the day, he chose violence by suggesting that even if he didn't show back up in wrestling until December, he'd still run away with 2022's Wrestler of the Year award.
The former AEW World Champion took time off from the sport to deal with myriad health issues last November. Amongst these were longstanding knee and shoulder injuries, as well as a hernia and vertigo. It is believed that the 38-year-old had been working through several of these problems for well over a year.
