During the most recent edition of Talking Smack, Kevin Owens revealed that Paul Heyman has repeatedly denied him the opportunity to face Brock Lesnar in WWE.

After being surprisingly substituted into the Last Man Standing Universal Championship match at the 2021 Royal Rumble on Friday night, with Adam Pearce dropping out of his match with Roman Reigns due to an apparent injury, Kevin Owens showed up as a guest on Talking Smack.

Talking directly to Kayla Braxton's co-host, Owens called out Heyman for not actually being concerned about his well-being coming into his match with Reigns, just like he wasn't concerned about giving Owens the Lesnar match he'd always wanted.

In Owens' own words:

"I know it (Heyman’s apparent concern about Owens) is about as sincere as you were every single time I’d go to you these past four, five years, and tell you, ‘Hey, I wanna fight The Beast Incarnate.’ And you’d say, ‘Oh, I’ll talk to him about it.’ That never happened, just like you don’t care what happens to me at the Royal Rumble. "

Whether or not these exchanges actually went down is up for debate, but if they did then it adds another interesting wrinkle to the Owens, Heyman, and Reigns dynamic, with 'KO' clearly wanting to prove a point to both men coming into the Royal Rumble.

Owens then signed off the interview by stating that he "really likes" Heyman, so he wouldn't make him the messenger again and would deliver his message to the Champion face-to-face next week.
