Not only is last night's TNA Bound for Glory now in the record books as TNA's highest-attended North American show ever, but that PPV also marked the end of the legendary career of Team 3D, aka the Dudley Boyz.

At Bound for Glory, Bully Ray and Devon - also referred to at times at Bound for Glory by their WWE names of Bubba Ray and D'Von - faced off against the Hardys in a tables match for both the TNA Tag Team Titles and the NXT Tag Team Titles. A great match that pulled on these long-time rivals' storied history together, including their memorable tables match at the 2000 Royal Rumble and also featuring a pre-match Spike Dudley/Brother Run cameo, it was Matt and Jeff who eventually emerged victorious by the time all was said and done.

Much like that Rumble bout, this tables match required both members of a team to be put through a table, and the first person to have that done to them was Jeff Hardy, who ate a 3D through a table. The Charismatic Enigma would then hit a swanton bomb off a ladder to put Devon through a table, and the end of the match would come when both Hardys hit a bunch of chairs shot on Bully Ray, who then staggered to his feet and allowed himself to be put out of his misery as he was then put through a table.

The Hardys were handed both sets of tag titles by TNA President Carlos Silva, then went to leave the ring. However, Matt and Jeff were stopped by Team 3D, who handed the Hardys their boots in a move that signalled Bully Ray and Devon's retirement from the ring. All four men shared an emotional embrace as the Tsongas Center crowd paid their respects to two of the greatest tag teams to ever do it.
