Legends Night Delivers Best WWE Raw Viewership In 10 Months
Booking Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and other legends paid off for WWE this Monday.
Looking to the past once again paid short-term dividends for WWE with this week's episode of Raw, as the special Legends Night show drew the brand's best numbers since March 2020.
Raw hit a 0.68 rating in the key 18-49 demographic, up from the previous week's 0.52. This is the highest number the show has seen since the post-WrestleMania 36 episode on 6 April 2020.
As far as overall viewership goes, Raw's average of 2.13 million viewers was an increase on last week's 1.77 million and the highest since 16 March 2020, when the show reached 2.335 million people.
Here's how the individual hours break down:-
Hour one: 2.20 million viewers
Hour two: 2.15 million viewers
Hour three: 2.04 million viewers
The traditional hour-to-hour slide was still there, though the drop-off between hours two and three was a lot less pronounced than usual. Interestingly, the male 18-49 rating peaked during the third hour, which featured Keith Lee and Drew McIntyre's WWE Championship match and Goldberg's return.
We have seen this before with previous legends shows, as the old faces pop a nice short-term number before things return to normal. It'll be interesting to see what happens to the numbers next week.
