Major Star Expected To Take Time Off Following AEW Revolution
This top AEW star is expected to be absent from TV for several months.
While there were some questions surrounding his Revolution involvement heading into last night's AEW PPV, it appears that Adam Page will be taking a hiatus now that Revolution is in the rear-view mirror.
As per Fightful Select, Hangman is expected to take some time off from AEW TV. It isn't known if this absence will start immediately, but this could well be the reason for Page's attacks on referees at Revolution. If the former AEW World Champion does indeed take some time off, it's believed that he'll be off TV for "a few months".
At Revolution, Page tapped out to Samoa Joe in a triple-threat bout for Joe's AEW World Title which also featured Hanger's heated rival Swerve Strickland. Of course, the biggest question coming out of this match was whether Page necessarily needed to tap out to the Samoan Submission Machine's Coquina Clutch, or whether he did so simply to stop Swerve from winning.
As alluded to, there was some uncertainty prior to Revolution whether Hangman Page would be able to compete due to an unconfirmed issue. A worked injury angle in the build to the PPV was seemingly done to give Page an 'out' should he have to miss the event.
