Major WWE Star Admits She's "Nervous" About Promos

Grabbing the microphone on WWE TV doesn't come easily to this top name.

Ronda Rousey has admitted to fans via a personal vlog on YouTube that she gets "more nervous for promos than matches" in WWE.

The SmackDown Women's Title contender, who challenges Charlotte Flair yet again for that belt at the upcoming WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view on 8 May, has never been the most confident on the mic. In fact, according to Rousey herself, having to "nail it on the first go" is truly nerve-racking stuff.

Fans and pundits alike have noted how shaky Ronda's voice gets at key moments during speeches. She seems to struggle quite a bit with speaking over fan chants (like the dreaded cries of, "What?!", for example) and commanding her position in the spotlight despite possessing a mic.

That's been troublesome across both stints with WWE.

Rousey also conceded that she's "always been a person that communicates better physically than verbally". However, the SmackDown star does feel like she's starting to get the hang of things slowly but surely - Ronda credited WWE's writers for laying back and letting her say pretty much anything she likes.

That has helped the ex-MMA fighter's confidence. She'll need more practice before she's cutting killer promos though.
