MFJ To Be At WWE WrestleMania 40?

Could MJF make an appearance at the Showcase of the Immortals this weekend?

With MJF having been removed from the AEW roster page, and with Tony Khan publicly stating how the Salt of the Earth is someone he'd love to work with again in the future, plus the whole Bidding War of 2024 schtick, some fans are speculating that the former AEW World Champion could be heading to WWE.

For those hopeful of Max appearing at WWE WrestleMania XL this weekend, you'd be wise not to get your hopes up.

As per Fightful Select, there are currently no plans for MJF to be a part of this year's Showcase of the Immortals, and the main reason for that is, despite Tony Khan's comments, Friedman is indeed contracted to AEW.

This will likely come as zero surprise to most fans, but for those who bought into MJF being a free agent, this is all simply part of AEW's story of uncertainty over the future of the 28-year-old. Of course, that story is that MJF's AEW deal expired at the start of this year, which was actually to be the case at one point - that is, until the talent quietly signed a new contract with AEW at some point last year.

Having lost the AEW World Title to Samoa Joe at the World's End PPV back in December, MJF has been absent from AEW while he heals up from several injury issues, including a significant shoulder problem. At this time, there's no timescale on the New Yorker's return to the ring or his general return to AEW programming.
