WWE legend Mick Foley has defended modern wrestling in the wake of recent comments from The Undertaker and Goldberg calling today's product "soft," albeit not in direct response to either man.

The former Mankind, Cactus Jack, and Dude Love tweeted the following on Thursday:-

The Undertaker was the first WWE legend to call today's product "soft," doing so during an appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience last week. Confessing that he finds modern wrestling "hard to watch," 'Taker said that he preferred his era, "when men were men," and recalled wrestlers bringing guns and knives into the locker-room instead of the video games of today.

Goldberg followed up on these comments during an appearance on After the Bell with Corey Graves. The former WCW Champion agreed with 'Taker, adding that wrestlers need to "get a little thicker skin," and "one day those young kids are going to be just like me and I hope karma comes back to bite them in the ass."

Few wrestlers ever suffered more for their art than Foley, whose huge, career-shortening bumps are a considerable part of his legacy, making him one of the toughest men to ever lace up a pair of boots. The debate rages on.
