MJF Shoots On AEW Critics - "F*ck You, YOU Wrestle!"

MJF lets the four-letter words fly in rant towards fans, critics and one specific colleague...

MJF has laid into wrestling fans in a new interview with Sports Illustrated.

Seemingly speaking mostly in character but raising the issue some have made about his infrequent in-ring appearances, the AEW World Heavyweight Champion said (h/t WrestlingInc);

"Wrestling fans get upset with me for not wrestling more...I hear, 'MJF, you should wrestle more.' F*ck you; you wrestle. It hurts. I'm not a f*cking mark loser like Bryan Danielson where I'm feigning [sic] to get in the ring every week because I'm a wrestling hipster nerd. You know what I care about? Making the most amount of money I can in the shortest amount of time possible, and maintaining my mental and physical health. "I'm not going to go out and kill my body for people who are fickle...One second, you're beloved. Then you're hated. That shows you how fickle, disgusting and putrid mark wrestling fans are. One second, you think MJF is the best thing since sliced bread. The next, you want someone to get the belt off me as soon as possible. And they don't even realize it. It sickens me."

The comments are mostly in keeping with his usual demeanour, as are the remarks made specifically about Bryan Danielson. The two look set for a showdown at some point in 2023 following MJF's vicious attack on Bryan's mentor William Regal.

'The Salt Of The Earth' was successful in his first AEW Championship defence against Ricky Starks on Wednesday's Winter Is Coming special, but ended the evening running for the exits after Bryan appeared unannounced and gave chase.
