A surprise return changed everything in one of last night's ladder matches...
Brock Lesnar and Bayley were crowned Mr and Miss Money in the Bank respectively at last night's WWE pay-per-view, and Bayley wasted little time in transforming her future title opportunity into a successful championship challenge.
In the opening match of Money in the Bank, Bayley defeated Natalya, Dana Brooke, Naomi, Nikki Cross, Ember Moon, Carmella, and Mandy Rose to become only the third woman in history to hold the Money in the Bank briefcase.
After pushing Rose & Sonya Deville from atop a ladder to claim her prize, Bayley cashed it in later in the evening to snatch the SmackDown Women's Championship from newly crowned champ Charlotte Flair in the carnage that ensued following a controversial finish to the Flair vs. Becky Lynch match.
Regardless, the biggest shock of the night saw a returning Brock Lesnar be named Mr Money in the Bank, belatedly claiming Sami Zayn's spot in the match after he was allegedly taken out of action by Braun Strowman.
Towards the conclusion of the men's ladder match, as bodies were strewn across the XL Center, Lesnar marched down to the ring to eliminate an ascending Ali and leave the audience aghast as he claimed the case which contains within a contract for a title match any time in the next year.
