New WWE NXT Tag Team Debuts In Orlando
The Authors of Pain arrive on the scene.
Friday evening's NXT show in Orlando, FL, played host to the debut of a new tag team - the masked and massive "Authors of Pain."
Following Mojo Rawley's victory over Angelo Dawkins, The Authors of Pain ran out to the ring and laid a beating on Rawley. After the attack, they reportedly cut what were described as good promos about being paid by NXT to hurt people.
The team is a repackaging of Sunny Dhisna and Gzim Selmani, who have been teaming at NXT live events for several months. Dhinsa, who was signed by the company in 2014, is a former Canadian National Freestyle Wrestling Champion who was training for the 2016 Summer Olympics at the time of his hiring. Selmani, who was signed in October of 2015 as part of a Performance Center class that included several Tough Enough competitors, is a 2013 Rough Diamond League Kickboxing Champion with mixed martial arts experience by way of Bellator MMA.
Prior to this gimmick, the pair had teamed with World Kabbadi League Champion Lovepreet Sangha, with the heel trio claiming to represent the nation of Albania.
