Triple H decided to give one of NXT's belts a little shine on SmackDown.

Solo Sikoa defended his newly-won NXT North American Title on this week's episode of WWE SmackDown.

The new Bloodline member successfully hurdled Madcap Moss deep into the show, then celebrated with his new pal Sami Zayn. Sikoa had only just pinned Carmelo Hayes to win the belt on NXT 2.0's 'One Year Anniversary' episode midweek.

Now, he's already defending it on the main roster.

Longtime viewers will understand how much of a landmark moment this is for NXT as a brand. Vince McMahon often did his best to either hide the show on Raw/SmackDown completely, or downplay title wins as meaningless next to the more important red and blue belts.

Triple H obviously sees things a little differently, but it remains to be seen whether or not Solo will be booked in title matches on SmackDown regularly. One thing is for sure: Sikoa will carry that strap with him when he appears alongside Roman Reigns, The Usos, Paul Heyman and Sami.

That, if nothing else, will give the North American prize some shine in front of a larger audience. Most would agree that this can only be a good thing for NXT.
