Having been kayfabe injured at the hands of Toxic Attraction on last night's NXT, it appears that Zoey Stark is actually dealing with a genuine injury.

As per POST Wrestling, Stark is legitimately injured and the aforementioned attack was done as a way to write the former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion off TV for the foreseeable future. There's no word at this stage on what exactly this injury is or how long Stark is expected to be out of action for.

Zoey was last in action at NXT's recent Halloween Havoc special, where she and Io Shirai dropped the NXT Women's Tag Titles to Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne in a three-team Scareway to Hell Ladder Match that also featured Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta.

Last night had Dolin and Jayne attack Stark in the locker room area, before the Toxic Attraction duo joined NXT Women's Champion Mandy Rose in laying waste to Shirai in the ring. Well, that was until Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro came to Io's rescue.

It was noted on commentary later in the night that Zoey Stark had been taken to a local medical facility and that an update on Stark's status would be made later in the week.
