In what is quite the coup for WWE, it's believed that Olympic gold medallist Gable Steveson has now signed with Vince McMahon's sports entertainment juggernaut.

Steveson had been on the radar of WWE for some time, with his older brother Dan having also officially signed with the company recently. As for the younger Steveson sibling, the two-time All-American won gold at this year's Tokyo Olympics after defeating three-time World Champion Geno Petriashvili.

The Wrestling Observer initially reported that Gable had penned a deal with WWE, and Steveson himself put out the below on Twitter:

It's believed that Gable Steveson met directly with Vince McMahon during SummerSlam weekend, reportedly opting against meeting with UFC President Dana White to discuss pursuing an MMA career.

At just 21 years of age, 6'1", 280 lbs of solid muscle and with a clear amateur wrestling pedigree, Steveson certainly fits the bill for what any wrestling promotion or fight promotion would be interested in. And now, it looks like the University of Minnesota standout's future is with World Wrestling Entertainment.
