Sasha Banks is set to be in the house for tonight's episode of WWE SmackDown in Phoenix, Arizona.

This is according to a new report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, who notes that this will be the first time that 'The Boss' has even travelled with the company in weeks. There's currently no word on whether or not Banks will actually appear in a televised role, however.

Sasha last wrestled on 3 January, when her and Bayley dropped a three-way tag match to Dana Brooke and Lacey Evans, with Alexa Bliss and Nikki cross also involved. She has featured on television since then but not in an active in-ring role.

Banks' absence is down to two things: an ankle injury (though this was speculated to be worked) and filming for season two of The Mandalorian, on which Sasha is expected to play some kind of role. WWE has not provided official confirmation of her SmackDown appearance, nor have they clarified whether or not she's clear to compete.

This week's SmackDown is also set to feature a Goldberg promo hyping his upcoming match with Bray Wyatt, Carmella and Naomi in a Women's Championship eliminator, plus The Bella Twins returning for A Moment of Bliss.
