Predicting The Next 12 WWE World Heavyweight Champions
11. Cesaro
What happened to Cesaro? This time last year, he was a heel getting cheered by the WWE Universe as one half of the Real Americans. Months later, he would win the first Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania. The next night, he severed ties with Zeb Colter and declared himself the latest Paul Heyman Guy! That relationship worked out brilliantly for Cesaro, and he looked destined for the WWE main event scene. This was evident from his inclusion as a favourite in 2014's Money in the Bank Ladder match, but Brock Lesnar's return soon after would leave Cesaro suddenly detached from Heyman, and straight back to the midcard. He performed impressively in feuds with Dolph Ziggler and Sheamus, but fell short of capturing the US and Intercontinental titles. That was baffling, and Vince McMahon seemingly made it clear in his interview with Stone Cold Steve Austin that Cesaro isn't ready for the main event in his eyes. He only has himself to blame for that! Hopefully things will turn around for Cesaro moving forwards as he really does have all the ingredients to be a successful WWE World Heavyweight Champion. They just need to be utilised correctly, something the WWE has failed to do so far...
