12. WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships
Currently held by: Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai and IYO SKY.
The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships became an infamous set of straps in 2022, held up following the walkout of Sasha Banks and Naomi in May. Dakota Kai and IYO SKY of the Damage CTRL faction stepped forward to lead the division in a new direction when the titles were finally up for grabs again, having began their second run at Crown Jewel by felling Alexa Bliss and Asuka.
Predicted next champions: Toxic Attraction’s Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne.
With or without Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne have no more to prove in NXT. They’d be held back if WWE was to keep them on the roster for a while longer.
Two reigns with the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships, during which they drastically increased the prestige and importance of the straps, saw the Toxic Attraction duo rise to significant prominence alongside then-NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose. Holding all of the brand’s women’s prizes shone a bright light on the trio that cemented them as stars of the current NXT era.
Why risk damaging that reputation with a potentially dire NXT run, sans Mandy Rose? A main roster call-up must await them in the imminent future to continue adding value to the straps.
