With the Royal Rumble go-home edition of Monday Night Raw now in the books, there were two major moments of note for this most recent of outing for WWE's red brand.

First up, the final hour of the episode saw Edge appear video to announce his entry into this Sunday's men's Royal Rumble contest. The Rated-R Superstar has been out of action since June with a triceps injury, and he indicated his intent to enter the Rumble, win the match, then headline WrestleMania 37.

If Edge's return wasn't enough the final minutes of Raw saw an unmasked Randy Orton appear during the main event of Alexa Bliss vs. Raw Women's Champion Asuka.

After Alexa had played plentiful mind games with the Empress of Tomorrow, Little Miss Bliss seemed to channel her inner Fiend, no-selling Asuka's offense and then locking her in the Mandible Claw.

It was here that a mildly-singed Orton appeared behind Bliss, promptly dropping her with an RKO as Raw went off the air.

Previously, there was speculation that Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt would be doing battle in some sort of insane gimmick match at the 2021 Royal Rumble PPV. As it stands though, Orton is still an entrant in the Rumble - while the Fiend has not been seen since being set ablaze by the Viper at last month's WWE TLC PPV.
