Ranking 10 Best WWE Raw Episodes Of 2015

3. May 4, 2015

The Highlights: A hot crowd could do a lot to make an average edition of Raw feel special. That was exactly the case in Montreal on May 4 when the show benefited from an electric audience all night long. It was especially awesome that they hosted the Raw debut (not counting his one-off appearance in September 2014) of hometown hero Sami Zayn, who accepted John Cena's U.S. Open Challenge following an introduction from the legendary Bret Hart. The NXT standout fell short of victory on that night, but contested one of the top Raw matches of the year with one of the very best in the business. Meanwhile, after months of toiling away in the midcard, Dean Ambrose returned to super stardom when he beat his longtime rival Seth Rollins in a great match to earn entry into the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at Payback. He reemerged later in the show to stand tall over Rollins, Randy Orton and Roman Reigns, cementing his spot in the main event of the pay-per-view. The Low Points: As we enter the top three best Raws of 2015, I'll mostly be nitpicking with the low points, but there's no denying how terrible the finish to Stardust vs. R-Truth was. To beat Truth, Stardust resorted to using a bag of fake spiders to spook him and score the win. It was every bit as lame as it sounds. Bray Wyatt interrupting Ryback wasn't anything special, either, but the "Goldberg" chants for Ryback during the segment were an annoyance considering it's not 2012 anymore.
