Ranking 10 Most Likely Candidates To Win Their First WWE World Title

7. Finn Balor

The former NXT Champion seems ready to move up to the main roster, and is rumoured to do so as soon as the WWE brand split on July 19th. The Irishman has seemingly been main roster ready since he stepped foot into the company, but his tenure in NXT has been impressive nonetheless. RAW or SmackDown surely beckons for 'The Demon'.

Regardless of whether it is a red show or a blue show, the top of the table is in the future of Finn Balor. The former Prince Devitt has the potential to be a major player for WWE for an extremely long time, and his long run as NXT Champion made it far easier to imagine him sitting pretty with the most coveted prize in the business.

I wouldn't go so far as to predict a meteoric rise to the championship for Balor, but you can bet the mortgage on him being in the next 10 first time champions.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
