14. Survivor Series: A Spotlight Stolen

It'd take multiple slides to list everything wrong with Survivor Series' schlocky main event, but the closing moments were easily the most egregious, with the November pay-per-view devolving into little more than a stage for the latest McMahon family drama.

The bout was almost entirely built around authority figures. Their actions were decisive in the end, as Triple H betrayed Raw General Manager Kurt Angle, then draped his brother-in-law, Shane McMahon, over his corpse. 'The Game' helped SmackDown's Commissioner to his feet, but there was a second twist. One classic boot to the gonads/Pedigree combination ended the blue brand's night, with Triple H scoring the victory for Raw, much to the confusion of the onlooking Braun Strowman.

We did get the slight satisfaction of seeing 'The Monster Among Men' obliterate the COO afterwards, but this was superseded by Triple H's selfishness. Make no mistake: this was about Hunter, not Braun, with the post-match beatdown intended as nothing more than a sweetener.

The authority figures should've played a supplemental role at Survivor Series. Instead, they needlessly took the spotlight from seven full-time performers, with Triple H the worst offender.
