How do you rank a guy named “Madcap”? No, serious question. We didn’t hop in a time machine and go back to 1896. There really is a wrestler named Madcap Moss who debuted in 2021.

The former Riddick Moss had an awful 2020, disappearing for five months during the COVID pandemic, then resurfacing on Raw Underground before tearing his ACL in October 2020 and being out for an entire year. He returned this fall and aligned himself with Happy Corbin as a mid-card act that is both perplexing and frustrating. Corbin inexplicably has always garnered a good amount of TV time, so that means Moss is on the screen a decent amount.

But he also is named Madcap, and his gimmick is making really bad quips that don’t even rise to the level of dad jokes. It’s a terrible gimmick, but one that gets him on TV with perpetual camera hog Corbin, so that can’t be all bad for him.

The question is whether Moss rises above this dead-end gimmick or just fades to the background when they repackage Corbin again.
