Ranking 22 WWE Debuts And Returns In 2021
7. Queen Zelina
Now we get into the superstars who made a bit of an impact
in 2021.
Zelina Vega was an underappreciated part of the roster during the early days of the pandemic, shining as the leader of a much-maligned stable of underachievers. Still, she was a valued performer to those who took notice. That all ended when she was released in November 2020 due to opposition to relinquishing control of third-party platforms, such as Twitch, to WWE.
Vega would re-sign with WWE and return in July 2021, but then immediately start losing matches. However, she entered and won the Queen’s Crown tournament, and since then, she hasn’t lost a match. She and Carmella even captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
If this list had been made two months ago, Vega would have been listed near the bottom. But Queen Zelina has come on strong these last couple months, so we have to give her high marks here for a good showing overall.
