4. Cage Match vs. The Miz & John Morrison (2011)
Thanks to help from The Rock at WrestleMania 27, The Miz came into this Extreme Rules main event with a WWE Championship win over John Cena. Mr. McMahon would later announce that Cena would get to challenge for the title at this event after Cena won a Raw battle royal. John Morrison would also be added to this match after defeating R-Truth for his #1 Contender shot.
Morrison's parkour style added a wealth of value to this match. His burst speed would add excitement as it looked like he could escape the cage with quickness and ease at any time. He would also do a variation of the Starship Pain off of the top of the cage for a fun highspot.
The Miz would even contribute to a big bump in the match when Cena and Morrison pulled him down from the top of the cage into a double suplex. He landed rather nasty as he impacted mostly at the top of his shoulders and neck. The few times it was replayed was slightly cringe-inducing.
R-Truth would interfere at the end of the match and cost John Morrison the victory. This allowed for Cena to do a top rope Attitude Adjustment onto The Miz and pin for the win. This was a fun and energetic match thanks to Cena's supporting characters.
