"I'm the GOAT, and you're the donkey!".

It was at that moment everyone watching around the world knew Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens were destined to be tag team partners sooner rather than later. They were successful in defeating the duo of Sami Zayn and Cesaro that night in England on SmackDown, but it was many months before they officially formed the tandem now known as JeriKO.

Jericho and Owens aligned when they found common enemies in Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady, and the weeks leading up to their tag team match at SummerSlam were extremely entertaining. Their backstage segments were a riot and it was obvious that they could tell what the other was thinking.

With a win over Enzo and Cass in their backyard of Brooklyn, they logically should have challenged for the WWE Tag Team Championship from that point forward. Of course, Finn Balor's unfortunate injury caused plans to change, and now Owens is the new WWE Universal champion.

But don't think for a second that they still aren't the best of friends. They remind us of that fact each week on Raw, and hopefully their friendship is ever-lasting. They are just that terrific together.
